How do Our K9's find bed bugs?

Our dogs are trained on live bed bugs only! Our K9's have been trained to find only one odor ( bed bugs) and not cross trained on other insects. Our K9's train on vials just like this one! We can customize the vials for 1 egg, 1 bed bugs, 5 bed bugs etc.

Did you know dogs have almost 300 million scent receptors? 

Canine detection works by using the dogs powerful sense of smell. Bed bugs have a distinct odor (pheromones) that only dogs can detect.  Studies show that bed bug sniffing dogs have an accuracy rate of over 95%!

Our K9's train daily in different environments.. yes that includes outside too!

Our dogs are trained to search in a certain pattern to ensure they perform a complete inspection. This pattern can be different for each handler/K9 team

The handler's job is to interpret the K9’s body language and manage any obstacles to the search. 

When a dog shows that they've located the source of the odor, the handler will investigate further.
